This Day in Type is a venue for seeing the day’s date in typographically creative ways. If you would like to submit a design, just follow the simple directions below. Break them at your own risk!

#1. Submissions must be in by Midnight GMT two days before their release date. Check the calendar for which dates are open for submissions.

#2. Submissions are best as uncompressed jpgs, but can also be gifs or pngs. All art must be constrained to 720px wide by 450px tall.

#3. You may only use one family of type (e.g. Helvetica Neue and Helvetica Neue Light Italic together are good. Trade Gothic and Univers together are not).

#4. You must first and foremost communicate the date (in whatever format you like.) If you use photography, you must own the copyright.

#5. All submissions must include the name of the typeface used.

Please also include your email (always confidential) in the keyword field. We will delete it before publishing the art.

By submitting this form, you allow This Day in Type and its agents to publish and reproduce your work in any way without contact so long as This Day in Type credits you. You maintain ownership of the work and may also reproduce it. You will not hold This Day in Type accountable for any abuse or misuse of your artwork by guests of the site.
